Role Overview

The communications function within the investment team is responsible for:

Establishing the reputation of Nest as a best in class manager of pension scheme assets, a centre of investment expertise and a leader on responsible investment

Helping to raise awareness of the particular characteristics of auto enrolled savers and change attitudes about what suitable investment strategies for them look like

Supporting our product and marketing department with compelling content about the investment strategy

Working with the product and marketing directorate to develop Nest’s member, employer and connector strategies

Ensuring the accuracy and high standard of all content related to Nest’s investment activities

Publishing regular updates on Nest’s investment performance and developments to the investment strategy

Ensuring all Nest staff have an appropriate level of understanding about the investment strategy

  • This role works across the investment proposition and communications and media team, to manage and own delivery of campaigns, events, publications, media and marketing activities.
  • This hands–on role reports to the Senior Investment Communications Manager and will require liaison with multiple teams across the investment directorate and wider business (e.g. Marketing, brand, internal communications, etc.)

The primary focus of this role is delivering an effective investment communications function.

The key accountabilities will include:

  • Curate and deliver investment collateral/content that serves our key customers (internal, B2B Member & Retirement and Social/Digital)
  • Managing/overseeing the delivery of investment collateral and reports
  • Delivering our investment communications activities to different parts of the business to raise awareness and engagement across the business
  • Managing our awards strategy and schedule
  • Supporting the work of the team, including media activities and communications campaigns
  • Generating accurate, high quality and engaging investment content to all audiences

The investment communications officer role is within Nest’s investment team, which is responsible for advising the Trustee Members on how to invest members’ money and implementing their decisions.
